Older TDI engines are becoming easier and easier to find. If you have a project engine that needs a small diesel engine that puts out between 60 and 200HP, a fully mechanical injector pump would be perfect for you. This way, you don't need all the wiring and sensors associated with the fully electronic TDI engines, but you still get the engineering of a modern diesel engine. The engine will run the same way as the older VW 1.6 diesel engines in that all you need is 12v to turn it on and off and a throttle cable to control the RPM's. I have pumps for both ALH and AHU style engines. If you need a 100-170 HP diesel engine and weighs around 300lbs, an MTDI engine will be perfect for you.
