New Valve Cover Gasket for 1.9 TDI Engines (ALH Only) for 98-05 Beetle, 99-06 Jetta, 99-07 Golf.

According to VW, this gasket is non-replaceable. Also, we have had some customer complaints saying that the old gasket is nearly impossible to remove. VW requires the purchase of a new valve cover with gasket for well over $100.

I don't currently sell the valve cover assembly.

This gasket is not available at all unless you buy the whole rocker cover at approx £80 plus tax(same as the US from what i understand).Nobody has been able in Europe so far to re-manufacture this item. Seems that Hans Auto have. It fits like a genuine part, looks like the genuine thing and at the price delivered to me in the UK of around £20. An absolute bargain, has been fitted for a few months so far and fine. I have a 1999 Seat Toledo Tdi with an engine code of AHF. Thanks

The factory did not offer a gasket replacement, only option was buying the $200 full cover. The old gasket was a huge pain to get off. I used a blow torch with a flat blade screwdriver and scraped it off. 2 hours to take it off. I used some RTV blue sealant as an extra sealant. Works great! A little bit of work to remove, but saved a lot of money! Thanks again.
